In 2019 after suffering from intermittent leg pain for a few months, I was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric bone cancer, Ewing's Sarcoma. On March 17th, we learned that the pain I was experiencing was caused by a large tumor in my right femur. I immediately started chemotherapy - 14 rounds which lasted a year. Half way through my treatment I endured a 10 hour surgery to try and rid the cancer, but save my leg. Unfortunately, while the surgery went flawlessly, the surgeons weren't able to get all the cancer. So in January 2020, I underwent another surgery, this one to amputate my right leg (above the knee) to give me the best chance of living life cancer free.

I attended the 2019 Parkway Walk in my wheelchair with dozens of my JBonesarmy supporters and vowed to return the following year and walk the course. Covid had another plan and the walk was virtual in 2020. However, this year, we will be able to walk in person and CHOP has asked me to be an Ambassador. I'm fortunate to be here and can't wait to attend - I'm also looking forward to fulfilling my dream of running up the steps of the Art Museum!
So come cheer me on!

I'm hoping that you'll join me and walk beside me this year. It would mean the world to me. If you can't, please join us virtually but most of all, please help me reach our goal of raising $10,000 for CHOP's cancer center.
